Coobie question

Options

I know the (now famous) Coobie has been the subject of a lot of discussion, but I was hoping someone can tell me:  can you wear the scoop neck bra without anything other than the pads the bra comes with, if you've had BMX?  Will it shift around?  I am okay casually with "rocking the flat", but sometimes in a form-fitting shirt, I'm self conscious about the way my ribcage seems to jut out. I do have silicon forms and pocketed regular bras (Nordstroms) that I usually wear to work, but sometimes I want something smaller than the silicon forms and/or just something fun that could peek out from the top of a zipper jacket, and helps me not to look entirely flat.  I am close to concave on the left side.  Thanks for any advice - I don't plan to shop for another week or so.

    Hi IndigoMont!

Firstly. I am a Uni, so our situation is slightly different in as much as I have a rogue puppy on the other side to deal with, but I have done lots of research into Boobs and Foobs, as I don't believe there is an ideal or perfect prosthesis for all occasions.

In answer to your quesstion about the bra moving about with just the little modesty pads in it, I would think it would ride up unless there was some kind of weighted foob in it. I have read of some women who have attached small braces from the band of the bra to their knickers to ensure the bra stays down.

I have been experimenting with several diffferent types of microbead forms, my favourite being the Jillianna which is a bit weighted so it stays put. My bra can ride right up on the Mx side if there isn't enough weight to hold it there. Curtain weights are another thing that I have read about.

Just recently, I have been wearing a sports bra by Marika called a Seamless Mesh Sports Bra. It is more like a crop top, it has the modesty pads in it. I slip a weighted microbead into the pocket with the pad still in it, and the pad on my natural side to make them even. I wear a zip front activewear jacket over it with the top showing, and it works a treat.

I am a bit concave too on my Mx side, and find the microbead foobs conform to that shape really quite well.

Another thing to try is the maternity camisole, sold by department stores. They have a bra inside that you can pin a foob into. Take the plastic fittings off the front of the straps and sew the strap to the front of the cami and you have a really cheap comfy camisole that looks a lot like the expensive, but better Amoena Valletta, which is my all-time fave.

I hope this may have helped a little. It's a lot of trial and error, but once you find stuff that suits you, it gets a lot easier.

I had BMX and have worn the Coobie bra with just a teeny, tiny bit of lambs wool tucked behind the modesty pads - not enough to cause projection, just enough to have something behind the cup so that if something pressed into my chest the cup didn't cave in and stay caved in. I didn't have a problem with it riding up. I have also worn them around the house without the lambs wool and didn't have an issue, just was a little concerned about going out and about that way.
