More Tests Ugh
Hi everyone,
I met with my new BS yesterday, and seeing I've been having pain in the right axillary, as well as pain in swelling in the upper right abdominal area she is sending me for a new axillary ultrasound and an abdominal CT.
I am trying so hard not to make myself sick over this but that old anxiety and fear is definitely there. I sure could use everyone's good vibes and prayers for tomorrow. Sorry to be a downer, you all have been here for me through thick and thin, and I know you truly get it.
I'll keep you posted.
Love you all,
Sharon

Hi, pupfoster1. I am new to posting here, but have been lurking for a long time.
I'm sorry that you're having problems - the pain, the fears. Trying to find something to write that might offer a bit of comfort ... at least ultrasounds and CT scans hurt less than some of the other tests we have.
Do you have someone to go with you? If you haven't been eating much because of the stress, maybe you can go out and get a decent meal afterwards.
Hoping for the best for you.

I am also sending good vibes I am sorry you are going thru this. I know the anxiety is almost unbeatable. Let us know the results
-
Sending good karma in the general direction of Maryland! I think you'll be okay!
-
Sharon,
To reiterate all the positive thoughts and prayers being sent your way. Just another bump in the road we are all on together. Wishing you calmness and peace tonight.

Sorry for all the fear and worry!! But, we're all here for you and I am personally praying all is well!! If or when I need tests for the "what ifs"...I am taking my Ipad with me so you all can come and "hold" my hand. Keep us posted cause we're your sisters and we completely understand!!
-
It's amazing, isn't it, how fast all that fear and dread come rushing back, even after you feel as though things are back under control. I think it's a form of PTSD, and until you know more, just remember it's just the fear talking to you.
I'll be thinking about you and wishing you well.

Thinking of you and praying for good news....

I have had all manner of aches/pains/ in the last 6 months. I swear I thought it must be mets. I had a bone scan and an MRI. Clear.
Although I do have a large ovarian cyst. To be removed.
Don't need to have to do another op, but is ok
Hang on and try not to assume the worse
We are all thinking of you.

Thanks girls for your support and advice. I'll let you all know what's up.

Well this just sucks! I am hoping that this is a lymphedema issue or an infection of sorts, all possible. I hate that you are having to suffer through worry...and I hope your weekend is stress free!
-
In the waiting room. Will post later. Thanks again for being here.

Thinking of you and hoping all is well. Sending the good stuff and hugs

Been thinking of you and "holding" your hand from here...hope all is well! Please, let us know!!

Thanks girls,
No word yet from the doc. The radiologist said the doc would get the results today and that I should hear from her sometime today. Nothing at this point, so I don't know if I'll hear anything till Tuesday.
I'll be sure to post once I hear back.

Just got the call from the doc. GOOD NEWS! No sign of cancer in any organ in the abdomen!!! She did say, however, my uterus was enlarged and it could be a sign of fibroids. Weird though as the pain is upper right not lower right, so I don't know if that jives. There is an actual swollen, puffy area there. So freakin weird, not to mention painful! She suggested my GYN take a look at that area. I am scheduled for a colonoscopy soon (although she said they checked the colon and it was clear) so perhaps they can figure out what the heck this is! SOOO frustrating!
As I said to a coworker earlier, it's so frustrating not being able to just shrug off these things that could normally be chalked up to normal aging. The fear comes back so easily!
THANK YOU ALL for always being here for me. Through thick and thin! I'll keep you posted as to what the outcome of all this is.
Love,
Sharon

-

Here's to good news, and not having to wait over the long (in the US) weekend to hear it! Oh, such a relief.
Can we ever know what the normal signs of aging are? Our gauges have been reset by BC.
I hope you will have an ultrasound to look at your uterine fibroids before they start poking around on the other side. :-) I know you're not feeling good, but I bet you're feeling better. -
Oh Sharon....so so so thankful!!! Sorry for the continued pain...hoping you get to all figured out!!
-
