Hey all!  I am currently undergoing chemo treatments and looking for other BC patients (babes!) in the area to interact with.  I have support but it's hard for any of them to really understand where I am at mentally with handling all this.  Sometimes I feel lost and alone.  Anyone in Orlando wanting to meet up?

It's been a while since this post, but I thought I would answer in case there is anyone out there! Seems dreamellis just did this post and didn't post again.

Hello HomeMom, I'm in Orlando and also looking to interact with other BC sisters here. Are you in Orlando as well?

Auroaya I am in Clermont. I think we've talked on here before. We should get together sometime I'm on your side of Orlando!

HomeMom another of our bc friends from BCO told us about a program in the YMCA fun by Livestrong that offers free classes and use of facilities for 12 weeks to cancer patients. I finally got the number and I'm scheduled for intake on August 4. The number is 407-644-3606 if you want to join maybe that's where we could meet.

Hope you're doing well with your treatment and everything else.

    Aurora

I heard of that too. I was going to wait until after chemo - but I also need to ask my docs when I can start that kind of work out. I hear it is pretty subtle. Which YMCA is that?

The one in Winter Park, that's the closest one to me. I hear they also have it at other locations so you could always call and find if they have anything loser to you. And like I said before take your time, you're still are in the initial stages of treatment so they may not want you to be so hard on yourself but I understand the Livestrong program is designed for us.
