simple - my DH is actually hilarious - even after 30 years of marriage.  We have laughed the whole time, even in the face of some stressful life experiences.  He is a keeper.

Mercedes - thank you, I appreciate whatever kind of positivity you can put out into the world for me!  Sorry you are getting the zings, but they will subside.  Our dog gets scared by sudden noises - he is a terrible watchdog also - people come to the door and he doesn't bark at all, just looks at us like "uh-oh someone is at the door" and moseys off to wherever.  He is silly too.

    Special K   Big gentle hugs.

Lhl  It is a beautiful place. Lots of birds in the trees.  My favorite time was very early in the morning out on the balcony , having coffee in the quiet with the birds chirping.  Glad you liked the pics. It was fun going around as a group.

Simple.  Thanks.  Yes you made it clear to everyone that you thought he was cute. lol

Mercedes  I enjoyed taking everyone. We all deserved it. We have been to this resort a number of times, maybe 6 or more. Mayan side of Mexico is  more jungle, Nayarit side is more mountains & fishing villages. Nayarit side is also half the cost. We usually go end of Nov/beginning of Dec.  It is a lot cheaper at that time of year. We found April VERY windy. Their storm season is about to begin.  But it was nice to see different vegetation in bloom.

hey ladies, I hope you are all doing well. I know it's been awhile since I've posted as I've been taking a step back.  Nat is doing well and has been back to work for a few weeks. Her fills are all complete (the foobs look huge), she has a radiation simulation on Thursday, they've waited longer than usual because there was a healing issue with her nipple in the cancer side but is getting better.  She'll be taking arimidex once rads are complete. The MO also mentioned adding 4 cycles of Perjeta to the once every 3 week herceptin infusion. We're thinking about it.

They seemed to have stabilized her dosage for the meds on the blood clot issue.

We're hoping to rebook our long delayed honeymoon in September.

I recall seeing a post on here about a protocol for getting thru rads. If someone can message me that I would appreciate it.

Art, here's a link to the skin care info.  I am on day 22 of rads now and have only been using the aloe and vitamin e cream so far.  I'll let you know how things turn out as they progress.

Hi all, does anyone have spring allergies? If yes, how are you this spring? I have been just miserable the past few days, wondering if any one else has noticed a bump up in severity since chemo. Could it be an immune response thing? I cannot even step outside without choking, I feel particularly bad. Just wondering.....

meadow  - I think it is a particularly bad spring - I have had hay fever related asthma for the last couple of months and I rarely have that problem.

All - will be losing my left implant in surgery tomorrow.  I have been through this before with the loss of my left expander just prior to chemo, so I know what to expect.  It won't be out as long this time, but I will have to do the expander to exchange process again.  The teachable moment in this is that neither my PS or I expected this to happen this far out from the original exchange.  While we would all like perfection in our reconstruction, it may be a good idea to resist the urge to tweak your results, particularly if you have had any healing issues in the past.  The surgery I had in March was for a legitimate need - to replace the allograft that was failing.  However, if I knew what was going to happen (surgery to repair my skin in April, this surgery tomorrow, another later to put in a new expander, then another to exchange) I would never have done it, I would have just lived with the situation.
