just found a lump on my mastectomy breast, panicking!

Am trying not to panic. It's nowhere near the original site. I'm four years out, stage one, got hit with a ton of chemo and herceptin. It's about half a cm. There's a smaller one next to it. I will get it checked out tomorrow, but I am very worried tonight. There's a vein right there. I'm about to get my period, and my other breast feels very lumpy and cystic. I've just never felt any lumps on the mastectomy breast. If anyone can say anything reassuring so I can sleep tonight, I would be grateful!

    Hi Brooklyn!

I can imagine what a fright that must have given you, but there are many things this could be, none of which are cancer.

Try not to go there, I know it's hard, but tomorrow you'll be able to get some medical attention and find out just what you're dealing with. Try to get some rest and the time will pass quickly.

Take care, I wish I could help more, (((Hugs)))

I really wish there was more I could say to make you feel better.

    Try to sleep:)
