i belong here and hope to get to know you ...i am 64

is it from surg?from rad? any way to calm it down?

two days ago i felt like finally breast wasnt so swollen and painful that i craved packing it in ice.  now...tonight...these zingers are starting.  they are short but very painful.  i have had a neuro-chronic disease for 30 yrs and my nerves are sensitive...and probably sick.  i cant do emgs.

i took anti-inflam med and i have neurontin and wonder if that will help.  the first one didnt seem to help but i dont know how much worse it would be

i suspect you will tell me this is normal...it just caught me off guard.  i thought i was on the way to being painfree.

any experiences or suggestions appreciated.  ty.

oh-i thougt my tx info would pop up:

Surprised no one has responded to your question. Your zingers sound like nerve pain caused by the surgery. Very common and should gradually go away. I had lumpectomy and removal of two lymph nodes (the sentinel nodes) nearly two years ago and would have sharp pains shot through my affected breast. It seemed to help just to run the area. Also if I went outside in the sun my affected armpit burned. I found using frozen gel pacs tucked in my armpit helped both surgical areas.

Hi BarbyAnn, this is an inactive post and the member hasn't been back since August. I don't know why there was no answer to her post back then.

Welcome to the boards, I hope you find some other threads that interest you, everyone here is very helpful! Take care!
