do zingers come from radiation?

is it from surg?from rad? any way to calm it down?

two days ago i felt like finally breast wasnt so swollen and painful that i craved packing it in ice.  now...tonight...these zingers are starting.  they are short but very painful.  i have had a neuro-chronic disease for 30 yrs and my nerves are sensitive...and probably sick.  i cant do emgs.

i took anti-inflam med and i have neurontin and wonder if that will help.  the first one didnt seem to help but i dont know how much worse it would be

i suspect you will tell me this is normal...it just caught me off guard.  i thought i was on the way to being painfree.

any experiences or suggestions appreciated.  ty.

I dont know anything about internal radiation. But I do know about nerve pain. I had a bad time with it and started taking neurontin and pain pills and stretching and rubbing the area. I believe that rubbing the area helps to settle down the nerves. I had a bmx and an axillary disection and tissue expanders and finally implants. Good luck

ty...i was hoping the neurontin might help.  thx for the other suggestions too.  was yours from the cutting or the rad or chemo...or dont you know

I believe it is from multiple surgeries ans radiation. Its my radiated side that has the shooting pain if I move the wrong way.

ty-the neurontin worked.  i slept and then only twinges today. i only had a lumpectomy but doc said there was a lot of cutting cuz of where it was.  i had the internal high dose radiation

I'm sorry I was wondering about the zingers, I did not have chemo or rad treatment, I hope u feel better, things will get better
