Eye makeup that will stand up to tears?

Chemo eyes are not my best look. Has anyone found eye makeup that can stand up to the constant tearing that is a common side effect of Taxotere and Abraxane? I would love to find a tearproof eyeliner, as well as concealer or foundation, that will stay put for a while.

Hi Marty. I'm a makeup junky. Nice to see a topic I here that I am qualified to have an answer too, lol, though sorry we must meet here. I had terrible tearing on AC and some on taxol. Here's what works for me:



Foundation: Estée Lauder double wear. I currently use bare minerals and tarte Amazonian clay foundation, but the Estée Lauder double wear stands up to everything; tears, sweaty hot flashes and also nearly withstands emotional breakdowns.



Concealer: tarte Amazonian clay concealer is like rain boots on your face. Try qvc.com to see I'd they have the one that comes with the brush. It's a bargain for both items for less than just the cost of the concealer at ulta.



Eyeliner: a must for when your lashes go. Again Estée lauder double wear line. Urban decay 24/7 has staying power and glides on easily. It is an oddly different experience applying eyeliner when you have no lashes.



Mascara: any of the maybeline products that are waterproof. Look for the ones with small plastic bristles for when lashes become nearly non existent.



Shadow: urban decay and tarte are both good at staying put. Avoid the drug store brands here. You will spend less on one good palette than when continually trying to find a good one at the drug store.



Also, try not to wipe at your eyes with your hands. I kept tissues all over the place to hold at the corners of my eyes. Hope this helps.
