Ribs and pectoral muslies pls need help

My mom had chemo Tac . Then She had mastectomy . Now the surgen said they did some one biopsy during surgery and they come to know there is some muslies involved. They perfer general surgeon . They new surgeon said he has to remove pectoral muslies and also cut three ribs. We are confuse . Any information will be help full.
