Has anyone has these symptoms?

Im at 27 year old white female. About 2 1/2 weeks ago when I got out of the shower I noticed a small amount of thick white discharge coming out of my left nipple. I panicked and called my doctor who suggest I come in immediately based on my family history. I just purchased health insurance through school which will be active on 8/22/13 and I read the policy and basically they could deny me coverage if I went in for this concern before then. So I opted to wait until I have coverage god forbid it is something I need extensive treatment for. Luckily, I only saw that discharge that one time and I had to squeeze my nipple to make it come out, I haven't seen it since.



Fast forward to a few days ago, 2 very small red bumps, one with a white-ish center appeared on the same breast. At first I thought nothing but then of course I had to get on the Internet and terrify myself. Both small bumps have stay the same except for a red area around the larger one (its still very small). I'm attributing this small red area to me poking and pinching at the thing trying to pop it in a fit of panic yesterday. The bumps are not painful and do not itch. I have no other symptoms. My doctor appointment is scheduled for 8/28 and I'm really hoping it clears up in the meantime. Had anyone had these symptoms? Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

The bumpy areas on your nipple are called Montgomery glands and they are very similar to sebaceous glands and can get stopped up or infected, very like a pimple.

Thank you Melissa! I have two bumps outside of my nipple but are near it. I actually have an ingrown hair on my nipple as well but I'm sure that's what it is because I can see the hair. The other two I'm not so sure...
