Questions about headaches during Chemotherapy.

Options

Hello everyone, I just had my 2nd round of dose dense AC chemotherapy. I've had a couple side effects but the worst so far is my head! OMG it makes it so hard to function. I could deal fine if it weren't for these headaches. Anyone else experience this and if so what did you do about it or what did your DR suggest?

Thank you:)

What are you taking for anti-nausea?  If it is Zofran (ondansetron) it can cause a pretty severe headache.  This is what I was given as the first drug of three to use for at home nausea control.  It did not work for me and did cause a brutal headache.  I did not have problems with headaches once I switched to Compazine.

Could it be migraines?  I found the chemo made my migraines worse, but I found sumatriptan worked well in getting rid of them.

Idk. I've never had migraines before

And I know sinus and migraine are very similar. It's right in the front only. It's really bad. I guess I could asked for migraine meds and try if not I could try a decongestant.

Could also be not drinking enough fluid after treatment. My onc told me that alot of the chemos are very thick and that could cause headaches. I find if I hydrate well before and after, that helps a bunch for me, and change the Zofran
