very tender spot below my right ribcage

Good Morning Fellow BC Sisters, I Am In Search Of Advice Or Reassurance. I Will Be Going Into Surgery On Monday For The Third Time Since 6/26...TE Troubles. Last Thursday, My Drain Came Out While Sleeping (WasStill Draining About 60 Cc..They Will Replace Tomorrow). On That Same Day, I Began Noticing A Weird Feeling Below My Right Ribcage When I Stood Up. When I Pushed Lightly, It Was Slightly TendeR. The Tenderness Has Become More Pronounced And Is In One Particular Spot. I Googled Images Of Body...And Saw It WouldbBe The Liver. I Googled Symptoms Of Liver Mets...Pain In Upper Right aBdomen. Gulp. No Freakout...Probably Fluid From Drain Irritating Things. Saw PS On Friday..Showed Her Spot. She Said That Is Not Her Dept. And To Call My Onc Asap. Ok, Ladies...Can I Demand A Scan? Haven't Had One Because Early Stage. Anyone WithSimilar Symptom Which Led To Diagnosis Of Liver Mets?

Also, a pain right below your ribs in line with your right nipple can be from your gall bladder; a stone or some inflamation.  Millions of Americans have problems with this.

I had sensitivity on the bottom rib. X-ray was concerning but bone scan showed it was nothing. Could just be a normal ache or referred pain from drain.

Thanks For The Replies :) Unfortunately, My Gallbladder Has Been removed, So It's Definitely Not That. I Am Hoping It's The Drain Fluid, And Praying Pain Goes Away soon.

Just thought I would throw in another possibility. I had a burning soreness under my right rib too. I was Dx with Mondors Cording. Mine could be felt branching off down my abdomen.

It wasn't serious, in fact the Surgeon told me it was "rare and self limiting" It lasted about 7 or  8 weeks, and then disappeared. I am now over 7 months out from surgery, and I have had a slight recurrence of the Mondors, apparently quite normal. I used massage, both with a therapist, and on my own to help get rid of it.

Edited to mention: Mine was especially sore right where the drain exited, and it took a bit of feeling around to actually find the branching off part.

Just a thought........take care, and all the very best!
