Slightly Herceptin Possative

I am triple negative but found out I am slightly Herceptin positive. I have a choice of adding Herceptin but it will be for a year as a study group. Really confused. Anyone else done this?

    Patti777,

    You are slightly HER2 positive. Herceptin is the name of the drug for those who are HER2 positive. Your circumstance is often referred to as HER2 low. I was being considered for this trial but became ineligible. It was a phase III trial as I recall and was showing some promise. It was also a double blind trial, so you might not be in the arm that gets Herceptin. Now, of course I could be totally off base as I'm basing what I say on two year old knowledge :) I was not triple negative. What have the findings been so far for those who are?

    You are correct. So much I need to learn. I just started so have not decided on what to do.
