During my mom's annual mammogram this past June the technician discovered a new cancer. This time it is her left breast as opposed to her right breast in 2009.  They did an emergency biopsy the same day of her mammogram.  Surgery was scheduled for this past Monday July 29th. Once the surgery was over I was completely relieved and happy for it to be over...but as this roller coaster of a devil ride goes.. the surgeon came to tell us she wasn't sure if she could remove it all as she went in twice to try.  All 12 lymph nodes that were removed have been tested postive for cancer as well.  Stage 3 invasive, and I'm so scared.  We didnt realize how blessed we were in 2009 when the sentinel node biopsy was clear from cancer.  I am absolutely a wreck. Devastated, She has also been having huge breathing issues as well as she suffers from COPD and is on ventalin and a number of other drugs.  This has been a trying week, the hardest by far of my life.

Prettypink, so sorry to hear about all you´re going through, again...

Hang in there, she needs you now. As soon as she gets a treatment plan in place, things will level off a bit. Come here to vent and ask questions, or just cry if you need to. We are all here for you.

    Prettypink,

It is so frightening. Hold on, breathe deeply and hold on. Just wanted to send you a hug and some strength.
