Pain in chemo arm

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone on here has experienced pain in the arm from wrist to elbow on your chemo arm (those that are having a line put in), my arm is getting pretty sore after my 3rd FEC chemo, have done a bit of googling and turned up a few people experienced the same thing but would like to know if you've had this - what helped?, how long did it last?

Hi Angstapp:

I have pain at the IV site but I just found out that I have infection in it. It was radiating a up to my elbow. I don't know if this is what you are experiencing. Do they keep using the same spot for your treatment, I think that would bother the veins if they keep using the same spot. I think you should phone and ask your onc nurse about it, better to be safe than sorry. Hope you get some answers.
