    Hi everyone,

I started my first chemo on 25th July and kept throwing out the same day . I took medications also but nothing really worked. Can somebody give me any advice to bear this nausea and vomiting. I'm very scared for the next chemo too.......

Seebha - I agree with Kayb.  My oncologist put an anti-nausea medication in my IV to alleviate any nausea and it worked.  I never had any nausea.  You might ask about that.

Hi Seeba, I had x4 dose dense AC  two years ago. I was vomiting ALL night after first infusion, and had to go back to hospital the next day and have IV fliuds to rehydrate me. For my second round they slowed down the infusion rate and also gave me extra bag of fluids. It took about 5 hours to complete. Sorry to say that it didn't help that much, and I was again sick as a dog for the next 24 hours. One of the nurses told me that if you had bad morning sickness when pregnant then you will be very sensitive to chemo. I was extremely sick for the first few months with each of my 4 pregnancies, so maybe something in it? I too felt scared every time I had to go, but the nausea really only lasted a few days each time. Just remember, you don't have to be brave, you just have to show up! All the best :)
