I have found the ovary pain gets easier with each round. and only lasts the first day or two. It is quite a strange feeling though. Hope she feels better soon.

Thanks AryaS, the good news is at least we are able to go out today as opposed to when she was on the infusion week o f AC .fatigue seems less on taxol.

Reporting in - out of the pain cycle and associated meds from last round (which was 9 days ago ).   

Rain, you asked if I take a sleep aid, yes - I take something called Zopiclone.  My GP has had me on it for some time.  Its a mild one, non addictive they say.  It helps me stay asleep unless something unusual going on like big time pain.

JDB53 – agree with AryaS, the ovary pains have become less each time.  I think we feel it in our ovaries etc. because it is not just bone pain but nerve pain.  Hope your wife is doing better, nice that you were able to go out.

Hang in there anyone experiencing pain from Taxol and Please be sure to reach out to your medical team.  There is relief available.

If it gives you any hope, this is my 4th and the last round is not half as bad as the previous ones so far.

I had chemo on Tuesday and stayed on top of meds. Gabapentin 3x's daily, Norco every 4-6 hours, 1claritin daily, Ativan as needed. I started feeling pinches in my joints on Thursday but they are much milder this time.

Now it is Sunday, I am slowly tapering steroid so I am expecting more pain in the next few days. My feet hurt and I have some muscle weakness in my legs.

But instead of the pain being at a scale between 5-9, it's between a 2-4.



Hang in there. We are almost through this!

hi all just checking in. the pain is much better today. We were able to go out again. She tells me she feels like a pinball machine. She has sparks of pain all over her body but not bad.thanks to all for the advice. 3 more rounds to go!
