Last year I went to the doctor about swollen lymphnodes in my armpit etc... I had a mammogram and ultrasound. The tech said that it was normal. The same day my mother clapsed at work and was diagnosed with stage 4 triple negative breast cancer. She had no symptoms, nothing. I still have the swollen lymphnodes. I am not sure what to do. My mother was diagnosed in February 2012 and passed June 2012. Any info, commentary, etc... is greatly appreciated. My mother was 58 when diagnosed. I am currently 29.

Have you considered genetic testing for the BRCA gene mutations? I would also look into a second opinion on the lymph nodes.

I would definitely seek a second opinion about the swollen lymph nodes. I went for an ultrasound because I found a lump. They told me it was normal and to come back in 6 months. I decided to get a second opinion and they did a biopsy and I found out I had triple negative breast cancer. I think you are probably fine, but since your mother had breast cancer, they may treat you more seriously.
