i am new to this forum. hi. i am looking for a therepist. the closest one i can see right now is an hour away. is that going to be a problem? will i be making alot of visits? how oten do you think i will be going/ THX BARB

The therapist I see is an hour away as well. It is not ideal, but is the closest one around.



I guess it depends on how severe your swelling is. Mine is very mild. I had several appointments initially, but now am just followed up on every few months, unless I have a problem. I know from reading others posts here on the boards that they go MUCH more frequently for more severe issues.

How often you're seen by a LE therapist will vary: you should come away with the knowledge of how to manage it at home: self MLD, therapeutic exercises, the knowledge of how to bandage and compression garments.
