Muga scan and babies

Hi all,
I hope you don't mind me popping in. My mother, stage 4 bc, who I don't get to see nearly as often as I would like, is due to have her muga scan this week and I was hoping that myself and my 6month old daughter were going to visit that evening. If mum doesn't hold baby is it ok?....just wondering what advice you were given.
