My mother has been diagnosed with Ductal infiltrating carcinoma

I am from karachi, Pakistan. last week we came to know that my mother is suffering from infiltrating ductal carcinoma in her right breast grade II, her age is 48 years ...our world has turned upside down...as i am the eldest daughter of my parents..i have to stay strong..but its geting very dificult for me to be optimistic...we are consulting the best possible doctor here...her ER/PR is negative while her2neu is ++ and ki-67 is 80%...Doctor has asked us to go through various tests to determine the treatment procedure for her...i just want to know...whether anyone here is going through the same situation??? please reply me....i would be obliged.

    We're sorry you and your mom are going through this -- but glad you found us here at Breastcancer.org! Others should be posting their advice shortly, but in the meantime, you may want to check out the main Breastcancer.org site's section about IDC for some in depth information on the diagnosis, treatment, and follow up care for IDC.

    Also, the Your Diagnosis section has lots of great info about reading your mother's pathology report and what each piece (such as hormonal status, her2 status, etc.) means.
