Headaches on Taxol?

Hi all -

My mother was diagnosed with ILC last November (Stage IIIb) and just finished chemotherapy two weeks ago. She has had headaches all through her chemo treatment and they are persisting still. A brain MRI in March came back clean. Today she went to the neurologist and he has ordered another MRI and a spinal tap. She assumed that with the completion of treatment, her headaches would subside. We have reminded her that it may be several months for all her side effects to go away.

My question is, did anyone else have daily headaches on chemo? Is this a common occurence? I know that ILC is not known for metasticizing to the brain, so I want to give her some reassurance that others have also had headaches.

Any thoughts or stories would be MUCH appreciated.

I am on Taxol right now and the Zofran (anti Nausea med) gives me headaches.    The benedry also causes my blood pressure to drop and then when it goes back up to normal I do have slight to moderate headaches.   I am also finding that I am getting them from the sunlight, my eyes are MUCH more sensitive than they were before so sunglasses and dim lights       HOPE you and mom have a great day Meg.    I can't say if it's common but they tell me not to worry it is a side effect from some of the medicines
