it all started about 8 weeks ago went to drs with lump got fast tracked had ultra sound they said fibradenoma without a doubt ,went on home a few days later found a second lump went back to drs she said probs a cyst but she checked nodes and got concerned as they are tender and swollen so got fast tracked again dif hospital for secend opinion. i had a mammo and u/s what they thought was a fibro thing had changed shape and not smooth anymore so they decided to give me a lumpectomy no date come through yet, they said the nodes felt larger because im slim even though they are not same other side , the second lump is calcifications . i have a rash on same breast it seems to be light during the day and slightly darker at night and it looks bruised ,it feels heavy and like somebodys punched me in breast it seems to get hot inside like its burning and last thing about 4 or 5 times a day i get a stinging sensation. when i have lumpectomy will it automaticaly be tested for ibc and would it show in any lump in breast?  or does it only show on mri ,i dont understand any of this but im worried sick as its taking so long  do i push for mri ?please help i cant take anymore x

Faerie I don't know much about IBC in contrast to Bon who is indeed a super rock star in this, but I just wanted to write to say I am glad you have an appointment and I am wishing you all the best.

I have been writing to another young woman, Milly, who was just diagnosed with IBC in the UK, on the thread, "so scared it might be". She hasnt had much info from the doctors yet either. It is a scary time before you know exactly what is going on.

I hope you dont have this, but if it really is, they will come up with a plan of attack for you. I had a different type of BC but felt so overwhelmed before I got my treatment plan and then much better once we started fighting the darned thing.

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!

thankyou sciencegal just come back from gp still none the wiser she was very sweet but didnt check my breast when i told her about the rash i was told to take ibruprofen for tenderness and swelling and anti-depressants to help me sleep and for anxiety. she did say if i dont here from the hospital by nxt friday she will try and sort something out. the nhs in this country is going down hill i know a couple of people not far from me who are going through the same thing . i have spoken to milly on here and she has been a big help i just wish i could do something to help her and you and all the others that have been diagnosed. i dont know how you all get through it im just having a glimpse of all this and it scares me i dont think i could handle bad news , im ok 1 minute crying the next, trying to keep all this away from my daughter my partner keeps telling me it will be ok trying to lift my spirits and my mum keeps telling me not to go on here as she thinks its making me worse im sure its all going to workout. anyway anough ranting   thankyou again take care x

Please, get us informed how is your situation and if you were finally diagnosed. The mood swings, I have them, too. One minute I am ready to fight whatever it is ( i am not diagnised, too), the other one I am deep in tears. Hold on, please and get me informed.

well a couple of things happened since last post had appointments through from hospital had 1 on monday took photos of rash in consultant looked at them and said not ibc he didnt know what it was and said i was a strange case he was quite rude and made me cry . had app yesterday for my pre-assesment im having lumpectomy next mon hopefully b9 i spoke to the nurse and she said have the lump taken out and see if b9 or not it may have something to do with the rash and other symptoms, if no joy from that get extra tests done. i dont think nurse was impressed by the main drs on how i was treated . Anyway still waiting i get results in 2 weeks 5 days from lumpectomy . Annab22100 the only thing i can suggest to you is keep pushing until you get answers, try and keep busy, when you are upset or worried come on to this forum and just let it all out i am here for you and lots of the ladys on here understand the waiting game and that its really hard . let us know how you are doing BIG HUGS X

Big hugs to you, too. I do hope that what you have is just something benign. Thanks a lot for your support. It seems that my redness is disappearing but i also read that the redness might come and go.. Plase hang on. I know it is difficult and fear can riun your life, too. I am taking cloranxen to ease the fears. Hope it will help soon.

Its hard to say what these rashes are does yours go light during the day and come up more at night ? mine seems to, but i seem to have a few problems with the lymph nodes at the moment they feel really tender as well and you can feel them . It is quite hard when you know something is wrong and you dont know what it is . Do you have other symptoms and are your doctors taking everything seriously ? take care sweetie

Dearie, maybe you could check all the nodes in US? I did that some time ago. Just to make sure there are no pathological nodes? Well, hard to say but sometimes I look at it, in the morning and it is almost gone and then, during the day it is more visible:/ I am worried about your nodes, please do Us if you can. Big hugs.
