kombachi-any brewers here?

Hi,

just wondering if there are any home brewers on here. I started a new batch. think I have some mold growing in it. I think I am going to have to throw it out and start over. I see the white ring of the mother forming, but there are also some blue green dots forming that look like mold.

I had grown some a few months ago, but stopped because I didn't know if I was doing it right. I had a good mother. but I lost her when I let her sit dormant in fridge. (someone threw her out)

This batch I didn't really measure well. just brewed up some strong tea, added sugar and added water and live kombachi. but I guess mold is everywhere. its been horribly rainy here.

Kombachi is good for increasing immunity. and its pretty easy to brew. horribly expensive in stores though

Is this the same thing that I've bought in the store under the name kombucha?

yeah. i probably mispelled it. you can brew it yourself. its so expensive in stores. google how to do it.

My aunt just brought me a mother and brewing instructions from a local farm. I have it sitting in the fridge and plan on starting the process tomorrow. She said it's supposed to be excellent for breast cancer, so I figured I would give it a shot!
