elevated alkaline phosphatase?

Anyone have alk phosphatase levels elevated on blood work. Nothing else except vit D deficiency. 3 years out stage 1 BC. So worried. Will I need a bone scan? Anyone experience this, I am taking arimidex.

I had a bone scan and PET scan and they were clear after my alk phosph was high shortly after my double mastectomy surgery. I was very relieved and mo said I will re-do again in three months.. The elevation can be caused by many things.. Good luck and hope all goes well.

Lola, I'm also 3 years out and my ALP has been elevated since the beginning even though everything else is good. They did both a nuclear bone scan and a liver CT and both were clear. My onco said he sees a few patients each week that have elevated ALP with no other issues, no recurrence, and they don't really understand why. Some meds can raise your ALP too. Even things like Tylenol. I know it's hard not to worry, but your onco may do the bone scan and the liver CT just to make sure. I was glad mine did because I had rather know it's nothing than have to worry. I wish you the best.
