any connections between esophageal cancer and brca2 in women?

I am BRCA2 positive and had the preventative procedures done to protect myself (hysterectomy & double mast).  My sister is also BRCA2 positive with stage 3 breast cancer.  My mom is stage 4 breast cancer but tested negative for BRCA2.  We determined that our dad carried the mutation.  He was diagnosed at 49 with stage 4 esophageal cancer and passed away at 52.  I've heard there are some possible connections being made between esophageal cancer and BRCA2, but not any definite yet.  Since I am 40, my doctor suggested that I get an endoscopy and colonoscopy done.  The endoscopy, I guess, because I am 10 years out from when my dad was diagnosed.  But I don't have any symptoms of anything.  The colonoscopy, because in 10 years they would have it done anyway, so they are doing it early considering my family history.  I'm wondering now if I really need either of those procedures done now, or if I'm just worrying too much?  Not sure there is a need for the colonscopy at this point.  Any thoughts please?

I'm definitely not an oncologist or doctor. My wife and her sister are in their early 40s and tested positive for BRCA2, and they both had the double masts this summer. Their BRCA2 father died from prostate cancer 2 yrs ago at age 64. His BRCA2 sister from breast cancer at 58. His brother just passed from bile duct at age 62. The aunt's daughter is 46, also BRCA2, diagnosed this year with breast cancer, also had double mast this summer. Now, a first cousin has just been diagnosed with esophageal cancer, and he's from the exact family line that we know the BRCA2 mutation comes from. This obviously isn't a scientific study, but until now, he's been a very healthy man, in his early 60s. From everything I've seen with my family's BRCA2, you can't over-worry. Get it tested ASAP.
