Ok I like being flat but there are times.....
I am totally frustrated about the mast. bras and forms. I had silicone ones(for both sides) and they made me totally hot and uncomfortable. Now I have tried the foam which just plain looks dumb. I can't wear tank tops with them b/c the bras show. My left side is concaved and the right side has more skin in place. I am so disgusted with my image now, I do not want to go out in public. The personal care place in the cancer center is not at fault, it is my d*** body and how I see myself now. Plus the bras like to ride up from below due to now skin there. Help if you can, please.

Katski, you sound like me only my sides are opposite yours. I too trie the silicone forms- too heavy and hot. The foam ones just didn't cut it!
I found ones called bean-a-boob through a Canadian company called Janac sportswear - they are on the web. They hang nicely and breathe really well.
I also went to mastectomy bras that have a built in cami. The best ones I've found I ordered fron the UK. A company called NicolaJane-also online.
These have done the trick for the last 4 years. I however have decided to have reconstruction after 6 years and am scheduled for diep July 29 th.
Good luck to you.
Cheers,

Hi Katski, These things sure are a bit of a problem for some of us. There is a huge thread here called All things Bra and Prosthetis where we talk about these things.
With forms, I wear the Amonea memory foam forms (I wish I remembered the number, they were not cheap) in a Still you cami (as a tank top) and I agree, the foam look is a bit stiff looking, but close enough to real on a hot day. I also wear handfill just as something to not make me look concave, but I only wear the little forms that come with it and it is working for me. In your case, the forms that come with the handful, you could wear 2 on the concave side and 1 on the side with a bit more skin. But these in no way make you look big...you are only a handful :-) I got the handful 1 size larger than I needed and it doesn't ride up. But then I don't make it tight. So nothing is pulling it up.
But in exploring so much of this, along the line I became comfortable with being flat, keeping in mind to wear scarves or printed tops to ease the look a bit. I am not comfortable with the idea of having something tight on me only to please others. So I wear forms maybe once a week, and usually just for the feedback they give me (I think I look ok in them) and self esteem issues.
