Basma, I am over 50 (57 Smile) but what I liked to do was watch a funny movie on my husband's laptop or netbook. I didn't want to read anything "inspiring" because I wanted to be distracted by something lighthearted and fun. Chemo is serious enough, I didn't want to think about serious things during my infusions. I picked movies that I was already familiar with and I knew would make me laugh. It was important that I had already seen them, so that when I was interrrupted by the nurses, I didn't miss anything critical to a storyline. Reading would have been difficult for me because I iced my hands during my infusions of Taxotere so turning pages or even pushing the button to advance my Kindle would have been hard.

I agree with AnnieLane, it's more enjoyable to do something that doesn't take too much concentration and will take your mind off things. Do things you enjoy, I love crocheting although some people think it's really hard and boring and I happen to dislike reading while others do it as a hobby. Everybody has their own hobbies and activities that they enjoy doing so try to find yourself an activity that makes you happy and helps the time go by. Good luck!
