Ki67 & p53

Well , I meet my wife's histopathologist who offered to do ki67. &p53 if I need to do them .those test were not available in hospital at the time of operation ,now does it make sense to get tested now when all active treatment is over .does this test needs to be run now ?are there any advantages to run them or would they. Just make me worry more ? Plz guide me

    Many,

    I would recommend that you do -- at least the Ki67 as it will give you an idea of how agressive the cancer is.  Not sure about what the p53 is.  The OncoType test is another that will access the aggressiveness and likelihood of recurrence.  My mom had both the Ki67 and the Oncotype--- and her scores were very high on both.
