Hi Everyone,

Has anyone seen this story on the news, and have any of you been eating these? The Townsend Antioxidant Blend from Costco.  I use them a few times a week in my morning smoothie.  The CDC is recommended either a vaccine or a short-term shot for those who may have been infected within the last 14 days of receiving the shot.

Is anyone in this position, and if so, what are you doing?  Are you calling your Onc or Family Physician?

I ate these berries on the 27th - 29th of May.  Went to my local walk-in clinic just before closing last Friday night for the Hep A vaccine.  The didn't have it in stock, so they sent me to the emergency room...otherwise I would have had to drive 60-85 miles to find another urgent care facility that may or may not have the vaccine. I wasn't willing to wait until Monday, as I got confusing info from Costco on when I purchased this brand.  I know I bought it on the 26th, but since found out that was my only purchase (I buy these berries regularly, like very 2-3 weeks, but usually a different brand).  There is only a 14 day window, after exposure, for the vaccine to work.

Since then, Costco has announced (yesterday) that they will be providing Hep A immunizations....a little late in my opinion.  Refunds are easy...don't need the actual package..they can look it up with your member id.  Least of my concern.  I need to check my coverage on emergency room care and put a claim in for all of that, or the part my insurance won't pay.  I call Townsend Farms yesterday, and they gave me an address for a claim - but all very loosey goosey.  I've heard a few lawyers gearing up for class action, but have no info on that.
