Mastitis from Radiation 2 years out?

We are in the midst of waiting for a biopsy to come back testing for IBC. My wife had BC 2 years ago and had radiation treatment. Is there any connection with post radiaition mastitis that anyone is aware of?

She is experiencing nipple pain and a pinkish hue in the irradiated breast. MRI, u/s and mammo came back ok and her BS thinks it is an infection but just wants to make sure.
