Lymphedema?

I had a bilateral mast last year for dcis. I had sentinnel node biopsy of 3 nodes in right arm. For the last week, I have been waking up with cramping in my right hand, where it hurts to try and move my fingers or make a fist. It usually goes away once I move it a couple of times. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hand numbness and pain were my first signs of lymphedema. I ignored it for a couple of months before getting diagnosed. Sorry to hear you are going through this. You can measure your wrists, an inch below your elbow, an inch above your elbow and an inch below your underarm on both sides. Be very careful to be precise and holding your arms in the same position when measured. If the suspicious arm is 5mm or more larger at each of the 4 measurement points, you almost definitely have lymphedema. I sincerely hope you don't. But, if you do, you will find your way with it like you have with everything else.
