Hi my name is Stacey I'm 33 years old. I was diagnosed with HER2 + ER- PR- BC on December 14, 2012. I had found my lump while breast feeding. Originally I had thought the lump was a milk duct. My Oncology doctor decided chemotherapy would be the first step in treatment because the mass was 2.5 cm and I had one lymph node that came back as a high grade metastatic cancer. My chemotherapy involved Taxotere, Carboplatin, Herceptin, and Perjeta for 6 cycles. I am currently continuing with drug targeted therapy every 21 days with Herceptin and Perjeta. My next step in treatment is a right mx and sentinel node testing on June 13. I'm awaiting staging of my breast cancer with radiation to follow. My doctor is thinking stage IIc or stage III. I will have delayed left mx and breast reconstruction after radiation. Since diagnosis I have good days and bad, pretty nervous but I am fighting with everything I have. My dark days are the uncertainty that comes with this diagnosis. My prayer is to be around for my 14 month old son Austin and dear husband Tim.

I have just been amazed and humbled by reading a lot of the discussion boards. I will never be able to thank all of you survivors that have helped bring me strength and courage during my journey. I wanted to reach out to meet other amazing women that live in Colorado that are dealing with BC. I have learned so much from others stories and advice. I still have many questions and worries. I would love to get to know you, hear your stories, vent, and or just give support.

Sending healing thoughts and prayers to you all!

Stacey

Stacey.....I don't come to bco as much these days and I haven't checked the get together thread in quite some time, so just seeing his for the first time.  I live in Denver and 7 years out form Dx.

Just re-reading your post and seeing that you just had your mastectomy the end of last week.  I hope you are having an easy recovery.  I know there are several gals from Colorado that visit bco...it would be nice to meet up.

Please let me know if I can do anything...Karen

    Hi Karen,

Thank you so much for answering my message! I would love to meet you and others. I wanted to find some kind of support in Colorado to meet up face to face with others. Love that you are 7 years out ;) from dx. I am in the thick of it if you will... Still in shock about it all. My recovery hasn't been too bad. I am pretty sore and the drains are not fun. I see my surgeon on Friday. Please let me know if you all ever plan to meet up I would lov to join.
