Watch Fast And Furious 6 Online There's no franchise in Hollywood right now bigger than the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This past weekend Iron Man 3 moved up to number five on the all time worldwide box office rankings, taking in $1.147 billion since opening here and abroad, and now just sits two spots behind Joss Whedon's The Avengers, which made $1.511 billion. As we race towards 2015's The Avengers 2 it's not hard to predict that audiences will keep showing to see the Marvel heroes on the big screen, and the next stop on that road is Thor: The Dark World.
Watch Star Trek into Darkness Online We still have a long time before the God of Thunder sequel arrives, with Marvel making the movie their first fall release, but today we have some pretty awesome developments. First off, the new issue of Empire apparently contains numerous new stills from the new Thor movie, starring Chris Hemsworth, and Redzilla has scanned the shots and posted them online. Above you can see a brand new shot of Christopher Eccleston as Malekith The Accursed, the brand new baddie trying to bring destruction to the universe, but below we have even more. And be sure to head over to Redzilla to see them all.
Watch Iron Man 3 Online But that's not all. Coming Soon has also pointed out that Marvel has launched an official website for Thor: The Dark World at www.Marvel.com/Thor. As it stands the site doesn't have an abundant amount of content - mostly just stills we've already seen and the first teaser trailer - but it's definitely something that fans should keep an eye on. Since John C. Reilly started becoming known as an actor we've seen him take on an incredibly wide variety of roles, from ridiculous comedies like Step Brothers and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, to praised drama like Chicago and Magnolia. Surprisingly, though, two genres that he has largely kept away from include both action movies and science-fiction. But if HitFix is to be believed, that could change soon in a major way.
Watch Spring Breakers Online According to the site's sources, the Academy Award-nominated star is has been given an offer to play a key role in not just James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy, but in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The report says that Marvel now wants Reilly for the role of Rhomann Dey, a character they describe as the middle man between S.H.I.E.L.D. and the titular intergalactic space police. Or, as the site puts it, he could be "the Agent Coulson of the Guardians movies."
Watch G I Joe Retaliation Online For those unfamiliar with the comics, Rhomann Dey was first introduced in the mid-70s as the alien leader of the Nova Corps, a space militia group. If the site is correct, however, the role will be turned into a human and serve as "the primary face of normal humanity." Should Reilly actually sign on he will join a core group that includes Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax The Destroyer, Zoe Salana as Gamora. HitFix also adds that they are still looking at names like Hugh Laurie, Alan Rickman, and Ken Watanabe for another role in Guardians as well, playing a "peer" of Reilly's.
Watch Epic Online Fast & Furious 6 roared into theaters this weekend, and if the estimates hold true, the film has secured itself a high spot on the list of successful Memorial Day openers. It hasn't quite topped Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End or Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but it's in that ballpark, with reports putting the action film's 4-day estimate at about $120 million. Meanwhile, The Hangover Part III managed to edge out Star Trek Into Darkness and Epic in their respective Memorial Day Weekend box office hauls.
Watch The Hangover 3 Online USA Today posted the latest numbers, citing Hollywood.com's estimates, which currently put Fast & Furious 6 at $120 million, far ahead of The Hangover 3's $51.2 million. Star Trek Into Darkness added $47 million to its overall take, which is up to $155.8 million. Meanwhile, Blue Sky's Epic earned itself $42.6 million for its opening weekend. Coming in fifth is Iron Man 3, which added on $24.6 million to its $372.4 million gross.
Watch Mud Online sequel has certainly gotten off to a good start, but we'll have to wait and see how the film holds up against its competition in the coming weeks. Sci-fi thriller After Earth arrives in theaters this weekend, a week ahead of its previously set release date. While some may be skeptical about the success of M. Night Shyamalan's latest endeavor, Will Smith has a pretty solid track record at the box office. All the same, Fast & Furious 6's opening weekend box office beat out MIB 3's by a wide margin. The third film in the Men in Black franchise grossed $69.2 million in its 4-day Memorial Day opening weekend last year. Given F&F's opening weekend numbers, it'll be interesting to see how After Earth opens.
Gunpoint was an indie game that we heard about quite some time ago when it was in development by a single bloke who wanted to make a side-scrolling stealth espionage title, strangely a sub-genre of the side-scrolling category that we don't see often. Well, Gunpoint is now available for pre-order on Steam's store. The game is unbelievably slick. I love the retro 16-bit look and the skill system that encourages players to use some serious thought-provoking tactical planning to get in, get out and not get killed in the process. Alternatively, if you like being dead a lot you can play the game like a 2D Call of Duty , but I get the feeling the game may not be very fun that way.
