Very nervous....How long for punch biopsy results?

Well,

My wife's MRI results asked for a mammogram and ultrasound. These both came back stable but since her breast is still slightly pink her oncologist has arranged a punch biopsy for today.

How long do the results take?

I had my core biospy on a Thursday, 5pm, got results by phone on Monday around 11am.  I hope you and your wife can relax while you wait. I know thats the hardest part.  I recall my doctor quoted me a week turn around, but it was only 4 days and 2 of those weekend days.

It turns out the BS told my wife 1-2 days and we're hoping that the fact she thinks it is an infection is true. This is the original BS she had when she was diagnosed with BC 2 years ago. Her MRI, mammo and u/s were all clear but since the antibiotics did not completely clear everything her onco ordered the biopsy.
