Adoptees who have breast cancer

What is your experience having breast cancer as an adoptee who doesn't know her birth family's health history? Do or did any women in your adoptive family have breast cancer?

I had no access to any birth family history, no breast cancer in my adoptive family, but both my adoptive father and brother died from stage IV cancer of other types.  I did have BRCA testing done due to being adopted, it was negative, but I opted for a BMX instead of lumpectomy.
