I will be 3 years out from surgery in october, I still have weird sensations in my chest wall, muscle spasms periodically and tightness in my chest.  I also have mild trunkal lymphedema.  I have been excercising with hand weights and it seems to help.  I really would like to find some clothing that doesn't look like it fits a boobless wonder.  Form fitting yet flattering, does that make sense. Does anybody else still have these issues after this length of time.  I did not have reconstruction, nor do I want to.  I have tried losing weight and haven't lost a pound, have counted carbs, exercised, you name it. I don't gain any but don't lose. Very frustrated and a little more than depressed.

    Hi 2Nan,

I am very new to this and a Uniboober, not  a double. No reconstruction for me either. I am sorry you're not feeling too good.

I still have strange sensations, and expect to have them long term, but they really don't bother me too much.

I am assuming you have chosen to be "Flat and Fabulous!" and not use "Foobs".

I have been on the hunt for comfortable, attractive clothing that I can wear with or without a "Foob". It is a bit of a challenge when you have a "D" that can resemble a puppy up your shirt!

I have found that one item that has worked really well for me has been the Camisole. There are many out there that have pockets, if you use prosthesis, and the Shapewear firm Camis or Tanks are great if you are flat or, like me, with one rogue boob that needs to be controlled. Any of these camis or shapewear look great when worn under a crisp white shirt, or a fine jersey cardigan with pants, capris, or even yoga pants. I also find that a fine, long scarf takes the eye away from the chest too. I am in Australia, so have just finished summer, and will be going into Winter which will be much easier to dress for.

I have just started a new exercise routinecalled the 5 Tibetan Rites. It is 5 yoga poses, started with just 3 reps of each, and increasing over time to a maximum of 21 reps. I also walk about an hour 3 or 4 timed a week.

Losing weight is hard, I spent my entire life till into my 50's as a size 6 to 8, but the medications for Rheumatoid Arthritis blew me up to 12 to 14. I am nearly 60 and don't really expect to lose much. You just do what you can.

    Take care!
