Chicago Avon Walk - I will be a survivor AGAIN!

Options

During the first weekend in June I will be participating as a crew member in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.  This will be my 10th year as participant of this event and my 3rd participating as a (soon to be 2-time) breast cancer survivor.

I am involved with this walk for so many reasons: because there are three million women in the United States living with breast cancer—and one third of them don’t even know it.  Another woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every 3 minutes.   An estimated 40,000 women will die from the disease - breast cancer takes another life every 13 minutes.  Because no one knows what causes breast cancer or how it can be prevented or cured. And because I have faced this disease and know too many people who have struggled with and been affected by it.

As a crew member I am not required to fundraise but as a 10-year participant and breast cancer survivor I feel compelled to.  So I am asking for your support to help me - any amount you can give is great; I just appreciate your support.

Your contribution would help to support medical research into the possible causes of and cure for breast cancer, education and early detection programs, and clinical care and support services for women with breast cancer in communities across the country.  There is a special focus on helping medically underserved women, the poor, minorities, the elderly, or those with inadequate health insurance.  And much of the money granted by the Foundation goes back to the communities where it was raised, supporting everything from local grassroots programs to national organizations.

Thank you in advance for your support!
