Mother's Day

For those of us who have lost our Mom's, Mother's Day can be a rough one.  Most of us are also Moms too and when our kids comemmorate the day, it helps, but there is still a huge hole for us.  So, for those of us who have lost, or are losing our moms, I wish you peace this Mother's Day.  Smile and celebrate the wonderful mom that brought you here.  Know that there are others out here who understand your pain and also know that your mom wouldn't want you to be sad if she's gone or going.

To my mother:  you were the best, my girl.  I wouldn't be who I am without you.  I feel you close every day.  I love you.  Sweet dreams and all that jazz.  (something she said to me every night). <3

    Margi,

I wanted to let you know that the words you write are very soothing to many people reading these boards.  I have been reading the postings you and Amanda write to Mary, helping her go through the final days of her mom's journey, the warmth and caring messages are also helping me get ready for my own mom's final battle with this horrible disease.  All four of my mom's grown kids are coming in for Mother's Day and my sister and I have dedicated our Mother's Day to her - we all plan to have an amazing weekend.

Her chemo has stopped working and the cancer cells are gaining control again - it's the brain, lung and bone cancer that causes her the most issues.  We meet with her oncologist next week, but for now it is a wonderful Mother's Day celebration for an amazing woman.

I want to wish you a Happy Mother's Day - your mother raised a strong, kind, caring daughter who writes lovely messages that touch aching hearts!  (I also love your quote "You never know how strong you are - until being strong is your only option"  great words to live by)

Hi LM, thanks for your kind words.  Of course now, I'm speechless.  (that doesn't happen very often, trust me or, better yet, ask my husband! LOL)

I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day with your Mom.  Cherish every second of it!
