Hi to all.

I am TN,with lymph nodes positive and grade 2b, mastactomy.

I scheduled to 4 FEC every three weeks followed by 12 weekly Taxol.

I took 3 cycles of FEC and that third time, I suffered a lot. I told mu Onc. But she seems that" it's alright". the last time I felt heat in my throat  and nose like that felt when we get the shot of the Endoxan. But every time it goes away right after the shot. This time I can feel it all the time and it enhances vomiting. A bad feeling I know you all know. I went to my internal physician to find a solution. But it seemed to him some kind of allergy but he can't say what is the source.

Iwant to quit the last cycle of FEC and go to the Taxol . I'm hesitated and I don't know is it right or not. Are 3 FEC cycles enough or not?

I'm just tired of it , specially the third one which made me in a horrible condition.

I want some opinion to share, please

Samar, you will never know if three treatments of FEC is enough - unless that's all you do and your cancer returns. (But none of us have any guarantees)Your oncologist is recommending one more then Taxol. Please reconsider - can you get through one more FEC? I think you will find weekly Taxol much easier to handle.

Fortunately I didn't suffer much ill effect from any of my chemo, but the way I'd look at it is this: 3 out of 4 FEC may be 75% effective, but if I can do one more, I could maybe shut the door on this crap forever, possibly... although as gilly says, no guarantees, just the knowledge that you gave it your best shot. Only you can determine what that "best shot" is. Good luck.
