Let me give you my background info. I had a bilateral masectomy on January 14th and have tissue expanders in since then. I have Stage 1A triple negative with no cancer in lymph nodes that were removed and clear margins. I am currently undergoing chemo and I am getting dose dense chemo right now. I am getting my third taxol today. Yesterday I started getting this pain in my side next to my expander and it hurts into my back. It feels muscular and is not constant pain. It hurts when touched or when I move a certain way. It does not ache like bone pain. When i bend pver to touch my toes it hurts and if i lean back in a chair it hurts. But of course I freaking out that the cancer went to my bones. I also have fibromyalgia and this is the same pain I've had for years. But now I jump at every ache or pain I get. Anyone else have muscle pain during chemo??

I had muscle pain during chemo, but it was a more generalized achey feeling.   I do have the pain that you are describing on and off from my tissue expander though.  The first time I had it was after a fill, but now if I don't move my arm much for a few days, it comes back.  My physio says its due to my chest muscles (pecs) still being quite tight.  That pulls on the trap and other muscles which in turn causes knots and pain in my back.  I find stretching consistently helps prevent it.  When it does occur, muscle relaxants like Robaxacet and Advil, seem to really do the trick.

Spasms and pain in my te seemed to increase after my chemo. I was relatively comfortable before that. I go for a fill Thursday so will ask Ps about it then.
