Possibly moving in the middle of treatment and freaked out

I hope this is the right place for this topic, please excuse my typing as Im using my pad and the neuropathy in my fingers has done me in.



Long story short, I am receiving treatment two hours away from where I currently live. My DH has been unemployed since February but now has an opportu ity to get work in Charlotte where I get my treatment. We will be making a decision in the next three weeks about moving this summer. Im about ninety percent sure that we will.



I am planned to have my first MX May 24th and depending on if I need rads, another prophlatic surgery two to three weeks after that. I also have to schedule my ovaries out b/c Im brca 1. So lots of stuff happening these next few months. Im just wondering if anyone else had to pull off a move in the middle of treatment and if so, advice? Thanks!

I finished 6 TCH the end of May '11 and moved the first of July that year.  I drove back and forth the 1 1/2 hrs to do my Herceptin treatments. We bit the bullet and paid movers to move all our big stuff because I couldnt lift anything. I still can't believe we did it when we did it. Our realtor complimented me when I got my hair "highlighted". THe look on her face was priceless when I told her it was a wig, my hair had started falling out.  My advice to you is do what you can and leave the heavy lifting to others. It did give me an excuse to sort and get rid of stuff. Good luck and have fun on your new adventure.

Hi!

My Mum was diagnoised in October 2012 and was on AC for the first four chemos. Right after the first three, life took a turn that she had to come back to India (Where we are from) and continue here. Circumstances took another crazy turn that even here she had to change cities, then to another country and then back here. 

Long story short, six months later - three countries, six cities, two different chemos and MULTIPLE hospitals and doctors later (The last four chemos were switched to Taxol) she is now on her way out of radiation. She is currently on Herceptin, and inspite all the change and of course emotional chaos that we have gone through together, she continues to fight it each and every single moment. 

Moving is tough, not so much physically than emotionally. But it's only made us stronger and has brought us even closer.
