How long did you have to wait?

Wasn't sure which forum I should place this in but since I mostly want the canadian perspective I put it here. I am in Ontario and just had a prophylactic mastectomy a week ago. I am not even sure at this point if I want to have reconstruction but I am curious what your PS have said about how long you need to wait once you are done chemo before they will reconstruct. I finished chemo february 14th but still have herceptin until christmas time. Any information you have been told would be appreciated.

I had DIEP reconstruction 6 months after chemo. I didn't have rads.
