Estrogen no longer the enemy? So confusing...

Interesting article with studies showing estrogen may not be the enemy we had thought?  more like we need to balance the hormones instead of paralyzing the estrogen?

Yes, very confusing. While trying to cope with all the conflicting advises, I fell prey to the following, something simple which sounds so logical, something you can do at home, without even needing expensive supplements.

The idea: a ketonic diet, or in other words: simply avoiding carbohydrates as much as possible, while compensating with healthy fats.

I started the ketonic diet a few months ago, so I do not yet have results to report about; I can only say that so far I feel excellent on it.

By making the body burn fat instead of carbs the cancer is deprived of glucose, without which it is supposed not to do well, whereas the rest of the body does fine on "ketones" (energy from fat) - maybe even better. After all, our real ancient forefathers and mothers lived most of the time like that. Also, this has been used for years as an anti-epilepsy diet; and it is in use as a weight-loss diet (but when you love eating things like nuts you won't have to lose weight).

You have more of a choice what to eat when you are not also vegan (as I am). You find quite a lot, just googling for ketogenic diet against cancer.

Maybe it sounds rather terrible to give up, bread pasta rice, potatoes, cake and pizza but for me after only one difficult day it turned out not to be bad at all. Like the squirrels I enjoy eating nuts and seeds (also sesame paste), and raw (also cooked) vegetables and every day a few berries (mmmm with added walnuts, cacao powder and a bit of sesame paste). All the time I learn to make another very tasty combination. Wouldn't it be wonderful to slowly starve the cancer while continuing to enjoy food?
