Taxotere restrictions

Has anyone been told no alcohol and stay out of the sun while taking taxotere carboplatin and herceptin? do u knowv why?

    Definitely stay out of the sun or paint your finger and toe nails black or wear gloves in the sun - you will probably lose them anyway. Exposure to the sun will cause you to lose your nails - when I had treatments, I was given cold gloves to wear during the infusion but I still lost them. I think I had a little wine on occasion while on TCH - no bad effects from it. I certainly wasn't told to not have any alcohol.
