I am 3 years out and went in last month for my 6 month checkup... my bloodwork was perfect, everything fine. Last Thursday I experienced a dizzy spell / light vertigo that lasted a couple of hours. The next day I felt better, then I was having coffee with a friend whe she mentioned that one of my pupils was noticeably more dilated than the other. I know this is not good, but I am not feeling ready to call my Oncologist.

I am feeling worried and scared. Frown

One love, Jackie

It could be something relatively non-worrisome.

Look up something called 'Adie's Pupil'.

Here's what is said about it: "The important fact in identifying this phenomenon is to realize that it is not vision or life threatening and requires no further work up."

Your last tests were recent and fantastic and you're doing great.

Chances are it's something where you'll be fine.

But before it worries you unnecessarily, get it checked out.

I, too, am three years out from diagnosis, and experienced the uneven pupil dialation about three months ago.  The uneven pupils also coincided with the onset of some frequent headaches.  Yes, I freaked out!  To make a long story short,  it turns out that having uneven pupils is now my new normal.  I have been diagnosed with physiological anisocoria.  A person's eyes can just do this out of the blue and it can be nothing serious, so hopefully my experience gives you peace.

However, my doctor did say that uneven pupils can mean some serious things are going on, and testing has to be done to make sure nothing serious is going on.  I went to see an Opthamologist (twice) and my family doctor, had a brain MRI, and saw an Optometrist all of which found absolutely nothing wrong other then one of my pupils is noticeably larger then the other.  Please get this checked out, but also be reassured that there is hope that nothing is wrong.

My Opthamologist made it very clear that if I ever experience an eyelid that starts drooping or double vision I was to notify him immediately.  Have you had either of these symptoms?

Again, I think this warrants a visit to the doctor.  I called my Oncologist and he recommended I see an Opthamologist to start with.  I hope this information helps you!

    Deep breath.  Another deep breath.

I don't have any good advice for you, but don't borrow trouble.  if trouble comes it will come anyway.  No need to anticipate it.

I have a friend with vertigo and something else I can't remember the name of, but it causes dizzy spells and so forth.  This does not have to be cancer.
