iodine for cancer treatment

does any one used iodine,as i found it a web site that iodine is very beneficial for reduction of breast tumor .really curious to find out?

    It is a theory pushed by a couple of alternative docs. I don't think there is any scientific backing for it, but there has been investigation of the connection between iodine and BC. Here is one recent study I found:

                thank you for Ur response as my mom was diagnosed with BC .I am tyring to make some changes in her diat which hopefully would help her to fight this beast. did u made any changes in your diet .my mom is 58 year old and after chemo she becomes very weak. thanks again .God bless u

    I would not start a new protocol while your Mum is on chemo, just good food and plenty of water......there is timne for this afterwards...

    Pari, first of all, this pronouncement that she only has 2-3 years is nonsense. Maybe the surgeon meant without any treatment or something, but stage 3 has a much better prognosis than that.

    As for fighting back with diet, yes, I think there is enough evidence to at least suggest that it might be a good idea. If nothing else it will improve your overall condition and make you stronger in general. So, basically, eat as many veggies as you can stand, if raw, as in salads, all the better. Skip the white bread, the white rice etc and get carbs from high-fibre sources like high-fibre bread, sweet potato, brown rice, quinoa etc. Eat fatty fish and go easy on red meat. Avoid processed meats like lunch meats, ham, bacon etc.

    Also exercise may well protect against recurrence and will also make your overall health better. It is important to egt out and walk a half hour a day, more if you can manage.
