Hi, I'm new to this so please, bare with me. I was diagnosed 2/4/13, stage 2. Surgery BLM on 3/4/13 with expanders in place.

On 3/31/13 the left side incisions opened. Went to the OR, expander replacement.

Supposed to have started Chemo tomorrow ... BUT, same thing is happening on the left side so the are taking me to the OR tomorrow now to remove the expander completely.

Chemo is now delayed 3 weeks. No reconstruction is going to be done on the left until after.

Anyone ever go through this ? What was your outcome?

My chemo is supposed to be once every three weeks for six treatments. My port was just put in on Monday too. Scared to death not knowing what to expect.

Thank you in advance to anyone who reads this.

    Irene

    Hi Irene,

so sorry you are having trouble with your expanders and that your post here has gone unanswered. I think you should repost on the Reconstruction Board. also, check some of the existing threads there,  you may find others who have gone through what you are going through now. Sadly, I doubt you are the only one to whom this has happened.

    Gentle hugs,

    Julie E
