Opted out of radiation/tamoxifen, getting mastectomy

I am so scared. Wad diagnosed with DCIS a year ago and have had so many other medical problems I haven't dealt with this. I am now scheduled for my surgery at the end of this month (April 30th) and I am scared. Among many things, my biggest worry is the expander pain. I am getting bi-lateral MX with expanders for 3 months and then reconstruction.
Can anyone give me some info on the pain of expanders? And if anyone has been through similar situation, any advice or information would be very much appreciated. Thank you!!!
