Kaza, please don't feel that way! Millions of women and men are living with BC! I know how hard it is to not feel changed forever because we are. But, we have eachother and that is at least something. Huge hugs and know that you are never alone. Never!

(((hugs)))
I think we feel alone because most of the people around us do not have cancer and cannot fully understand how we feel. Thankfully, we have this board! -
(HUGS) Kaza! Although you may feel alone sometimes, remember we are right there reaching out our hand...

I write a Breast Cancer Blog since my diagnosis in Oct 2011. I hear from hundreds of women who say the same thing - alone and forever changed. I certainly know I am. Perhaps I don't feel so much alone as different and set apart.
Sending a hug your way! Denise

Count me in. My boyfriend and I had a huge near break-up fight this weekend. In the past I would think to myself - I'm a great catch, badass athlete, hot body, $$, and I have nothing but options...so leave me and I will be fine! Now I'm like I have hideous recontructed boobs, I feel like a ticking time bomb, my career opportunities took a major hit from cancer, I'm totally out of shape...who will want me? I don't even feel confident enough to put up an online dating profile. In the past I was an internet dating superstar. OK, this is just one area of life, but it is huge. Nothing is the same. On a good note, I do have a wonderful man in my life and we decided to stick it out for love. Last night we had a painful honest discussion initated by me. My boobs don't look good amongst other things and life has really changed...but I'm really, really grateful to be alive, put back together and NED. It is what it is. My finances have been so screwed by cancer. I used to do fun things with my $$ too. Not lately.

Kaza - thanks for your nice comments about my blog. I have put my heart and soul in it to help myself and thus help others. I wrote about everything through the entire journey. Now I am writing how it is in transitioning to be a survivor. IT IS HARD to transition as you well know! No one prepares us for this part!

Denise, thank you for sharing your blog. I'm in work and have only had a chance to do some speed reading, but what I've read speaks to me! I'm looking forward to getting into the meat of it, as I have a feeling your wisdom will help me through some very large speed bumps.
God bless
Kelley :-)
